A long time ago the King or Queen ruled the land, they ACHIEVED this by LEADING lesser men in battle and ORGANISING society. Firstly as towns and cities and then counties and eventually countries and nations. This Queen's ancestors were our leaders and masters, because they were greater, braver and stronger than other men. Now we have their descendants, who, whilst maybe not braver or stronger, rightfully remind us if our past and heritage. Their wealth and privilege was was won in past generations, nevertheless, they deserve it as they bring much more to our great nation than lesser men. Just saying.

One thing they never got was the good look charms as they all look like they got chucked out the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down look like horses crossed with lizards

I could say the same thing about every diddycoy I ever met.

I doubt the Royal Estates would run as well in the governments hands, plus a Labour government would probably ban hunting on them and turn stately homes into 'refugee' accommodation.

Hunting is banned on all estates, unless you're royal/gentry...........what f***ing use it that to any of us?

It sets a presidence, maintains countryside in the best way possible and gives people employment.

Well the royals do still have some political influence, so if they support hunting and take part in field sports, then they have more chance than most people to help keep them from being banned completely.

Me and you can do nothing about it really.

 

You Royal family is not an ideal institution, in fact it makes no real sense in a modern world, but i still prefer to have it than a load of self serving politicians doing the job instead.
