Plucky1 1,119
Stuck about the house at the moment so thought I'd put a few pre-ban pics, WM "JESS" "Jess" was a sister to TH dog "Spider", she was always a bit too hard for me and everything was a dig, I only used her in certain places as she would be in sick bay after every dig, she could be a pain in the van having to keep her separate always, she was undershot,so was never bred off by me, I gave her to a keeper locally aged 6ish due to her getting harder and harder with age. a start of the season shallow dig that "Jess" had killed and eaten to ground in less than 15 mins, full grown cub still with milk teeth, must of been a late one. 5 Quote Link to post

Plucky1 1,119
Few out the bales Freezing cold morning checking barns and bale stacks, we bolted 4 out of these all killed and one that the terriers killed in the middle of this lot, we eventually got it out after tieing up all the terriers bar my bitch "ROLLO" she would retrieve anything, anywhere, end of dig pics of pups on a carcase after 2 hour dig on a railway embankment and shot, my bitch "ROLLO" was the black and white bitch on the right of second pic ,one of my best allround terriers I've ever owned, worked her till 9yrs old and lost her on a road after a fox,she was never interested once they were despatched. another decent hour out,5 in about 10 mins at the most, all lying up from cover, gun and lurcher accounted for everything, that truck was used a lot to illuminate long digs into the night, really useful and a real favourite ,wish they still made them,WM 1 Quote Link to post

Plucky1 1,119
I'll probably get shouted at by "farmhand 66" for putting up this pic in this section as only digging lads can post on here LOL's but this lurcher was "special", "KALE" stood 28TTS" and we never bought him until he was 5yrs old off lads that had used him on deer, never really saw a fox until he came to us but what a dog, I can't for the life of me understand why we never bred a litter off him in this pic he caught and killed it after "JESS" had clean bolted it under that pigeon shed across a garden,he was a lovely natured dog that would get hold of the first thing he could, foxes he would throw 10ft in the air and pin them on landing,we lost a few down the years by him throwing them into cover and them slipping off but hares, rabbits, deer and anything else you put the lamp on he would pull down,WM 4 Quote Link to post
Plucky1 1,119
Why pre ban?...its not banned they were all way before the ban,so yes they are legal, but you know how it is these days,in fact there will be a few on moaning that pics are no good for the game but hey you can't please everyone, there are many on here that seem to think I've only ever had Plummers not realising I kept many types that were all worked regular, Plummers suit me since the ban but they are under-rated as a fox dog,WM my bitch "MYLIE" legally killed under the hunting act,WM Edited March 27, 2016 by Plucky1 1 Quote Link to post
pablo esc 1,598
Some mixed dogs, what was the two in your arms, the black and white one and the small black one. And who was spider and what was it, heard of something year's ago, like the main dog with heads. A man I know once bought a black dog off the same crowd, but the were at the Wigan show about thirty years ago, the had two for sale, adult but young, he bought the black dog, they had it named spider, he called it spike, it been ruined young, etc, he got it working again after a while of looking after him and taking it out. It was a thin leggy, thick coated, like a fox terrier face Quote Link to post

Bosun11 537
Good photo's WM. Was the Spider a black dog owned by a lad called Wayne S. at one point in the early 80's? Very heavily marked, if its the same, Mark R's dogs have at least one line to it. Quote Link to post
