Lads this one needed a thread of its own so how do you think this travelling mans lurcher is bred ? Not sure how old this photograph is but I'll try to find out pretty sure it's very old though !

One thing that strikes me about that photo is, it's only one rabbit, but means the world. No ego's just good honest pot hunting, take what you need and leave the rest for when you need them again.

Great pic once again Darbo. That collar wern't made for that horse thats for sure! lol. atb

That definately looks like a posed picture for sure. :D Don't know what the wagon weighed but I think the horse would struggle to move it far and going down any hill would be a nightmare.

:clapper: Lovely, nostalgic images lads...and as an old man,.I love to see old pictures,..helps me remember.

As for posed images, well yes,..many of the Romany Rye type photos are staged for the camera,....even today,..you would be hard pushed to walk onto a Hatchintan and ask folk, to 'smile for the camera',...it could get, emotional...

However, same as most of the Poaching type manuals have rarely been penned, by genuine Poachers,...it just don't matter...Anything that produces an emotion or feeling of happiness,.can't be bad for ya...so keep the antique snaps coming,...I love em...
