The one 8,493
If they have been together all there life I would leave them together and see if the sisters have there young together or if they help rear each other young Quote Link to post
krawnden 1,036
Sounds like the one who no longer looks pregnant is having a phantom pregnancy, ie def NOT pregnant. Quote Link to post
Chicken_man 1,651
As above. I've had 3 Jill's rear one litter in the past. The actual mother was in fantastic nik throughout the rearing, never lost any condition. It was a large litter and all did very well. It was a mother and her 2 daughter's that raised the litter. All 3 mated around same time, the daughters by a Vosectomised hob, which obviously had phantom pregnancies. Atb Quote Link to post
The one 8,493
Ive a snipped hob now and aren't needing any replacements but I would always leave two Jill's that where mated at the same time and as I didn't check the kits till they where coming out the nest I can't swear they raised the lot but they certainly raised a few , once I had three Jill together and the third Jill was two weeks later than the first two giving birth and you could see the diffrence when they appeared out the nest . I know doubling up won't work for every one but I'm no filling my garden up with hutches 1 Quote Link to post
