Ferret Bag Or Poacher Box

Actually,...I used a canvas bag, to carry my bitch ferret in for several years,...never had any problems.

Obviously,..backintheday... (we were mouching/poaching 100%.....) so a ferret box slung over the shoulder and a rangy, rough coated cur following on closely behind,.....would have been a wee bit,.obvious...

 

Thankfully, times have changed,..and nowadays several teams of ferrets are often required,..so you need good serviceable boxes,..the comfort of your workers,.is paramount

I prefer the term middle aged I don't mind missing lunch out as I object to carrying it but I need a cuppa every two hours or so

Im starting to think the best think about ferreting just now is the hot bath at the end of the day then the vodka

I used to keep one in a tweed jacket pocket and the other side a handfull of nets normally when heading out for a mooch locally

When we were kids and ferreting where we weren't ment to be we used to gut the leg off a pair of jeans . Sow the bottom and put strung through the top and stick it in the rucksack ???? permission these days take more gear than a bloody night fisherman lol
