Haiddheliwr 1,911
That is really interesting woods. I will see if I can find some more info. I remember seeing an article off the local rag a fair bit before my time of people getting really excited as a black& white was discovered lower down the valley and quite a number of locals turned out to dig it!! Now that would be totally unheard of today obviously. How times have changed eh!! Thank you woods again much appreciated 1 Quote Link to post
Haiddheliwr 1,911
Just remembered there was a club in the Glyneath area who had a vast area of forestry for vermin control and was called something like the Fox Destruction Society, perhaps someone on here can enlighten us. This wasn't so long ago but I really doubt the name would be very popular today!! 1 Quote Link to post
Haiddheliwr 1,911
The forestry in Glyneath was called the Rheola Forestry and was immense! Hopefully your Dad can throw some light on it, if I can remember correctly it was active in the 70's. Cheers woods Quote Link to post

Haiddheliwr 1,911
I worked with the huntsman and terrier men of the Banwen Miners Hunt. After working a shift they would be out hunting. I have Copy of a video "Miners In The Pink" the quality of the picture is not brilliant but I play it occasionally to see the "boys" who are no longer with us. Memories eh!! Quote Link to post
