Recommended Posts

I dont think the car is 1967

It has oval side lights like mine did these were on the 1962 / 63 / 64................i may be wrong its been several years since i messed on with classic motors

67s are generally MK 2

^^^ is right thats a pre facelift model in the op haymin .. So an early model , the mk1/mk2 swap over was 66 so doubt its a 67 model unless it was a late registered one

The purist are going to hate me but Put a real engine in it and lowered on some nice alloys and just a clear lacquer over the existing paint and you would have a very distinctive and desirable motor

Tax ran out in 1986.....imagine getting hit for the back tax

. I got stopped some years back, driving an old motor home that had been off the road for years, dvla attempted to recover back tax for quite a few years, but after a few visits in front of the local beak, and much manipulation of the truth by said dvla, they were awarded one days back tax, which at the time was about £8 with costs,as they could only prove it was on the road for one day, it was worth the three days of work I missed just to see there main prosecutors face as she grabbed her folders and left the court rather hastily amid howls of laughter from the public gallery, Haymin if you do end up owning the car better not to register it until it's going on the road or your selling it as you still have to have insurance now even if sorned off road, good luck with your purchase it's a rare gem

my Apologies I have a few that have been on sorn for years and I never hear anything from dvla, but I was told that if you wish to sorn a car today you need third party insurance, should have checked before passing on info
