Wrong handles and the Escort had the strip of guttering above the doors

It has oval side lights like mine did these were on the 1962 / 63 / 64................i may be wrong its been several years since i messed on with classic motors

Iv got a chance of buying this it's been in garage for year how much does it cost to restore something like this

cant really tell from your piccys, but looking at the quarter bumpers and the cheese grater air filter, I,m guessing it may be a gt model if so the value is much higher, and even higher again if it's a two door model, if it's a basic four door, it will be hard to restore to a decent level, without spending more than it's worth, if you have found a 2door gt it's worth a fortune as it stands

Possibly a field car? When cars were over produced they were stored in fields and sold at later dates. It is possible that is what happened to that car. But given fords reputation for swapping and changing parts on cars anything is possible.

The purist are going to hate me but Put a real engine in it and lowered on some nice alloys and just a clear lacquer over the existing paint and you would have a very distinctive and desirable motor for not to much lolly.

Possibly a field car? When cars were over produced they were stored in fields and sold at later dates. It is possible that is what happened to that car. But given fords reputation for swapping and changing parts on cars anything is possible.
