PeskyWabbits 464
This thread is great. Wow, it takes me back. So many of these books were read over and over. I will also add 'Stig of the Dump' and 'Wind in the Willows'. I knew Roald Dahl was popular but didn't realise that so many others enjoyed 'Danny Champion of the World' it seemed so different, realistic, from the talking foxes, insects and fruit of unusual dimensions. I remember Brendon Chase when they put it on the telly. I could just about get home to watch it, and get scolded for not coming to the table for tea. Does anyone remember Martin Rattler?
