Fishing Injuries

Recommended Posts

Another time went Carping up near Crewe and one of my mates brothers come, big lad and supposed to be a hardcase, it was when mainline active 8 boiles first come out. He went to bait up using one of those needles like a harpoon and went straight into his thumb. He fainted on the spot and ended up in the ozzie.

Always remember that day well I had 40+ carp all between 10lb-24lb in a day session on mouldy active 8

lad came running over to my swim with one them baiting needles sticking out his gut whimpering like a baby about going hospital,by the time hed finished asking what he should do i was passing it back to him,

was tying a hook with rod still on the rest while sitting back in the chair and as i was biting the excess line off some twat walked straight through my swim set the hook nicely just glad the bail arm was off it could been worse.

once heard a story of a lad carp fishing trying to get tight onto a bank opposite he got it snagged in a tree so he points his rod at the tree and wound up tight and started pulling,3oz lead came at him like a bullet and took his eye out
