All done and backfilled nice, one happy farmer

many reasons why they don't backfill correctly.... as has been said already its easier to put back in than it is to take out.....so the 1st main reason is LAZINESS...2nd... No Permission and have chan

The only tip I ever give regarding backfilling is that if you find you have clay left over after backfilling always dig another hole and bury it.

I wouldn't of thought of that Neil. I will try and remember for future reference.

Thread gone shite, you can hear this rubbish being talked in pups most weekends by machine drivers , big machines and big egos, full of shite the lot of yea,s.

Also I've always found michine drivers to be fat, lazy and ignorant.

Maybe you've only seen fat.lazy and ignorant machine drivers Mary.

Can tar every machine driver the same.its like saying every black dog is the same.

Its a shame you've got that attitude fella.

Yes, unfair to label all the same, my apologies to those who are not fat, lazy or ignorant, but the majority I've met or known fit that discription.

Back in the day pabs you left more bomb holes than the lufftwaffer around E/port, seen it with my own eyes on cape hurst railway you hypocrite !!!!!!!!!.

you haven a laugh, yes hundreds of people had dug along there and I was in my teens, met one of the best lurcher lads along there and we were fourteen and when and dug a few foxes. Even one of the best terrier men,who went there before us, Mr, I saw where they had dug over eighteen foot, sand and not back filled. Live and learn,

Well he can't be the best terrierman if he left it in such a state can he !!! Bashed that railway regular and often had to tidy up the mess left by you an others in your area. We always put it down to wanting to get off sharpish in case your spotted , as well as lazy.

Yes fd, it happened, but happened with going out with the wrong sorts and especially when the never got the own way, like the being nothing there, or the game was dug on or something unknown. But yes even up to ov later years the lads who did back fill would just sling the mud back in and no great care, just chancers. I got in my own world since then and would bridge a hole and push the ground down properly, and saw others do it, who look after the places,.

Treehands, if you tidied up them places you must have had some job on, take you all day, surely. I saw loads like that myself. I was once at night there with a couple of fellas who were trying to dig a fox from when the mate had been digging to in the day, the were digging on still in the same place and deep, it was out of my hands, can't remember them backfilling, but plenty of shit talk. Yes don't know if he was the best terrier man, the other MAN who hole we saw and was only told of his glory, but the could dig,

Kind of a monument to bad practice you could say.

J L was another den destroying double dogger.
