cocker 2,654
the white and brindle bitch the white and merle bitch and the black bitch are all 3 litter sisters out of the little blue merle bitch, i put a greyhound over her to breed the 3/4 bitches as the little blue ,merle bitch was 1/2 cross and i always did really like a dog what can catch hares on the daytime, (i liked eating hares a bit more than rabbits, and i could sell the hares for a fiver each to lads who kept birds of prey, plus there was a lot of hares about where i was back then) she could catch hares once they got in to cover, but she was mostly a rabbit lamper, she was a great little bitch for me, her daughters in the pics were also good bitches but not as good as their mother on rabbits, but they could all kill hares, had some good bags with them, but back to the little half x blue merle there well she's probably one of my favourite dogs of all time, her, and the little bitch I've got now, they are good dogs collie greyhounds i like them a lot, but the same as all types they often have there own unique peculiarities, same can be said for the modern saluki crosses, some like mine here are biddable and quiet, never ever any bother, and some can be b*****ds, i think a lot of it is also to do with the man who owns any type of lurcher, temperament of us and temperament the dogs we own is important, and when both click and it works right, well then theres nothing better. 10 Quote Link to post

Maximus Ferret 2,063
This breeding (in the early 80's) was threequarter grey to threequarter grey and produced a couple of handy animals. The dog was not experienced and had to be hand mated. Edited March 22, 2016 by Maximus Ferret 5 Quote Link to post

Bill196510 11
Any breed can seem useless, disobedient, headstrong, you just need to form good habits, if a dog is let off the lead too much it will not not see that it's place is by your side, never let a pup do something that you don't want it to do when it's an adult,I have a boreder/lakelandxwhippet,she was so hard to train, she's 2 1/2 now and not been worked, she now walks to heel through ppl kids dogs chickens, retrieves to hand jumps, responds to whispered commands, Just keep it on the lead if it's disobedient, train it while it's on the lead, never let it see any prey till it's trained to the standard you require :-) Never give up !! Collie crosses are one of the toughest out there kelpie tougher but harder to train lol Quote Link to post
