keepitcovert 842
Good shot but the english longbow would have seen him off while he was pissing about. Remember Agincourt.
mackem 28,150
His trajectory will have been like a rainbow,i would rather have seen a three shot group,he didnt mention the weight of the bolt.Theres a couple of guys on youtube doing similar with compound bows, now THATS real skill, fairly tight groups as well. Knocks spots off the old barnett wildcats of youth, have a look at tenpoints range,i just got petersens 2016 archery equipment mag and theres several pages of new crossbows, some of them are reverse limb compound crossbows, they look like something from the predator movie.I have seen him sussex, instinct shooting,he is accurate as a lazer. Guest ragumup
Good shot but the english longbow would have seen him off while he was pissing about. Remember Agincourt. I'm keen on all archery longbow included I've seen him get 5 shots off in under 60 seconds... The shot wasn't a fluke as he's shot groups even further...

I had a few different ones when I were a lad. They were mad power, went straight through my mates door! But I couldn't hit a bullseye (or anything else for that matter) with one! Them were the days, running around the woods with crossbows! Christ it would be straight to jail these days.....
Guest ragumup
Iv found if cocked by hand the string is often slightly to the left or right thus throwing the bolt off to the left or right , plus a bolt drops quicker than an arrow even if it's the same weight and traveling the same speed... mackem 28,150
I thought of this thread and the speed of that bolt when i read this link, the kid didnt have a chance. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/morning-mix/wp/2016/03/22/w-va-teenager-dies-after-being-accidentally-shot-in-the-head-with-a-bow-and-arrow/
