Foreign Ticks?

Just been talking to my neighbor and he's warned me about some foreign ticks in the north west? Killed a couple of dogs already apparently?ive not heard anything myself but he said it was on the local news, has anybody on here heard anything or have any info?

It's the brown dog tick, mate. Only a handful of cases so far, but it looks like it has quite a high mortality rate.

they sound like right little tw*ts! Cheers for that Bb I'll be keeping a closer eye on mine from now on, as I must admit I'm not exactly religious when it come to flea and tick treatments lol I can never remember when I last did them, but they will be getting a dose now
