my wee banty dog at 5 months went over the fields with dad to check on the cattle... he went to ground in a burrow and had a bit of a scrap then he appeared a half hour later with a cut nose... he was free running around the farm because dad took a liking to him and i think he had a few scrapes with foxes and what not that nobody knew about... i dont know if he would have been a better dog if he was left to mature... when i took him on his first real outtings he started off a hard dog but became a 5 minute wonder dog.. i've been wondering since was he ruined or was he goin to be that way anyway??? i think these 'run ins' happen often with alot of pups and surely it cant be the ruination of them... i think a pup that's made from the right stuff will get over his early defeat easily enough?????
