king 11,984
More chance of a saluki x as an all-rounder lol Hardly any rabbits in this valley fella.plenty of big rabbits and other things.but running a 11 month old dog on more than rabbits is a bit silly ain't it. You are clearly devoted to hancock and are happy to buy a pup from NON working dogs. I personally wouldn't have a dog from non working parents if you payed me and bought the food for it.feck that life's to short Link to post
Gaz_1989 9,539
Would anyone believe me if I said I knew of a Hancock bred dog doing R/H/F/D regularly? Surely not. Lol Link to post

Somewhereyournot 1,117
Collie greyhounds of Hancock ,i would strongly advise to get one from somewhere else, ive have five from him over the years first one out of the original merle, last one out of boycey, first one ok did very well, then all dogs went down hill,i am not slagging Hancock but as someone who has experience over a long period of time with his dogs,i would not own another of him. However i would have another collie cross but from elsewhere.what was wrong with the dogs you had mate? If there were any problems and they went down hill should of contacted David.A fella o get on well with has had 14 hancocks his latest being 16 months old I think, all his dogs have worked to a good std and he was happy with them. He does ferreting hunting and lamping all do everything he wants. He did say that he wouldn't have beardy x off him or any of the naughty boys pups as the sires are narrow and shallow chested. That's why he sticks to border x as a rule.I personally think Hancock should breed the beardy border x like he does the border as there's too much variation in the "woody, delboy, boycey" litters.Interesting reply anyway.Nothing wrong with the dogs i had type, wise, good coats, structure, sound of limb and feet, clever quick to learn,................however the lack of prey drive decreased dramatically from number one to number five.so because of this reason i personally will not have another of Hancocks dogs,i would however have another collie type.why did you get 5 if the first ones went crap? Not all crap on a sliding scale from good to bad, till finally wouldnt have one,,,,would i have owned a english bulldog from years ago YES,..would i own one now NO,,,,,,,,,,thats hancock dogs of today. So if you want one get one and lets see if you still own it at 2 years of age,,thats me done had enough of talking Hancock,,,,,I am getting one, I don't think I asked anyones opinion on getting one in first place haha. all I asked was whos running 3/4 xs and now its turned into a hancock slagging thread yet again lol atb runemI have read all the excellent comments you have made about bull X mate.over the last few months. You need to see the light now and get 1 you know you want to but you've got your Hancock blinkers on at the moment.see the light, give over! I don't follow any crowd, o make my own decisions based on what Iv seen. You'll still be crabbing people's posts when my Hancock sapling will be starting out in field lol!! You'll still be crabbing people's posts when my Hancock sapling will be starting out in field lol!!You are following the hancock crowd mate. The best thing hancock could of done in the mid 80s is added a bit of bull blood into them kennel bound mongrels. But sadly he didn't see the light only £££ signs.hancock crowd? I like collie xs and can't source any litters around, so next best thing is direct off him. all your looking to do is rubbish yet another post on about adding bull dribble it's boring as f**k, you got no interest in collie xs so don't get involved. I'd even offer to take you out to my permissions with rabbit hare deer fox and other bits on, but I really can't be bothered with people like u. I got nothing against bull xs, just don't think they make all rounders like people make out, obviously some will but you be better off with deer x , saluki x , collie x etc to get a all rounder and that's my mindset. No amount of shit you spout will change my mind. You can't find a rabbit let alone f**k all else, you stick to your forestry commission ground somewhere in the valleys lol might find a few burnt out cars and camping spots lol That a bite there pal? Lol far from it W, I was laughing writing it lol Link to post

redquil 219
Not now but the first lurcher I ever had was bred this way. IMO they would still suit a lot of lads. Mine had huge prey drive and was quite trainable. She would have a good go at whatever she ran at but was a little short on stamina. Now if they're honest, most lads don't need 3 out of three coursing type stamina and the drive and enthusiasm of these types might suit them well. Mine was RHFD as they used to say. Just my opinion. Fruitcake I take it Maximus? The first true 3/4 bred I ever seen . atb. Link to post
king 11,984
So you never worked them? Just taken breeders word? How many greyhounds do you think get worked before added to lurcher lines? In a perfect world maybe, so you've got 5th gen bred bull? Fancy sharing your thoughts on them and there breeding, not many can say they have gto decent bullX with that kinda breeding, much did those cost ye?Is it possible to work a 7 month old pup katchum. And is it possible to really test a 11 month old dog. I will say this I've talked to plenty of lads who have owned and worked.both lines of the dogs I've got here now going back yrs and yrs. And how much they cost me is my business. But I recon I've got a lot more chance of these 2 dogs doing what I want next season. Than if I bought them from non working dogs. Would u buy a pup from NON working parents. Link to post
