Working Alone

Recommended Posts

How many of you lads work on your own and do you enjoy it or do you miss having the craic with your mates ????

I spend about 90% of the time working on my own and I love it ... I enjoy the piece and quiet ... Going at your own pace and not having to consult anybody about anything ... Anybody else work on their own ??? .......

I worked as a self employed electrician for five years doing my own stuff, all small domestic.

I hated the work but also being alone all day nearly all the time drove me nuts.

Maybe if I enjoyed the work it might be different, but doing something all day you hate plus not even having a bit of comaradery to pull you along is just f***ing awful.

When I was keepering, I spent many a day and night on my own.

Me and the dogs knew what we were talking about even if they don't lol lol.

I used to bring the odd lad or mate with me every now and again just to keep me company and have a laugh.

But I did prefer to work on my own.

I spent the last 5 or so years working with others all day everyday, it was starting to drive me round the bend, so now I am taking more time for myself, I was 3hrs from home this morning at 8am and realised how quick the journey had gone, I don't like total solitary, but some time out is always good
