random 659
Hi all I've made a couple of wines and got the bug so picked up some more bits to help me and one of these was a hydrometer, now I used the tube to help understand using one and thought I had it so took some just made carrot wine, before adding yeast, and popped it in,I got a reading of 1.112,does this seem about right as an average og? I know it depends on the ingredients and such but would like an idea if possible?
Fat-Ferret 857
Don't worry about hydrometers man...mix it up throw it in, then drink it down....all you need to know is if it tastes good at the end!!
random 659
Tasting good at the end is all I care about in honesty,I would just like an idea of approximate abv,it doesn't matter too much if I can't work it out,I'll drink it regardless!
