Ponteland in Northumberland mate, it's a footpath that runs along the top, probably an old line going back to the coal mining days

good that mate, we have a pair that come to the grass field, I think I will make a box in the back of the barn with access from outside, a mate of mine who rings them recons as long as there hidden they feel safe, and can tolerate quite a bit of activity round and about.

I think Lidl or Aldi do a bird box with a little camera inside for quite cheap, sure it could be adapted for owls with a little diy

Thanks, yes I think you should you can’t beat watching barn owls hunting in the evening.
