chartpolski 24,143
How many of the lurcher, terrier and hunting lads actually went out and voted against Blair? I convinced my whole family to vote against labour after a lifetime of voting for them. Our M.P.s majority was slashed but the b*****d still got in because too many people in the north east still think labour is for the working man. I was at the last Waterloo Cup for all 3 days, went hunting with the North Tyne on the 19th and have been to every pro hunting demonstration Icould, but this won't change the law, only getting labour out will. Cheers. Quote Link to post

borderterrier 0
Reality check time. Don’t think for one minute if/when the Tories get in things will be as they were. I’m fairly sure the Hunts will get back to the way they were, all be it under some form of licence, but your average Terrier/lurcherman will be the sacrificial offering. (yes, even the Tories want to keep the Anti's happy) IMHO if you ain’t connected to a Hunt you will remain shafted. Opposition parties are great saying this that and the other, but when the crunch comes they are full of sh1t as well. EG, The Tories introduced VAT on domestic fuel, the opposition screamed blue murder saying it was wrong, immoral etc,. So you would think the first thing they did in 1997 was remove this tax. Wrong, they only reduced the rate. And so it will be with the Hunting Act. The rich and famous will legally get to go about their business, while your average Terrier/Lurcherman will remain the undesirable. The best thing you can do IMO is carry on doing what you’re doing, just a little more discretely. In the coming months there are going to be examples made, and you can bet your bottom dollar it won’t be a well connected MFH, who is viewed as an upstanding pillar of society, facing the Magistrate. (which is probably his cousin anyway). Good hunting all, and keep safe. Don’t let them make an example of you. Quote Link to post
