The only people that will bother will be the law abiding.

Interestingly when I had a raid a couple of years ago the only thing they never asked about were the terriers chips !

On their seizure list they wanted things such as proof of ownership, surely the dogs chips and docking certificate would be on the top of their agenda ?

Chips aren't proof of ownership so it's a con, had to get the bull terrier done for a DDA case though

I know, but when you've got the actual dog with it's chip and docking cert in your pedigree folders then I'm sure they'd take note.

It would be a massive circumstantial piece of evidence but they never took any.

If its becoming law why hasnt it been made commen knowledge through media .

You've been getting out to much FB, it's common knowledge mate, you just missed it.

Every single one of my dogs are done, I can't see what the fuss is about.

Even if you don't want them in your name there's no need to send off the paperwork that comes with the chip and no need to prove who you are when you get them done.

Its all about liability. not getting your stolen dog back, it barely ever works for that anyway.

It`s purely to ensure that anything a dog does, an owner can be found and held liable.

Hows this,

Wee bobby has run away, "oh no" at least he`s chipped, we`ll get him back ! (not guaranteed )

or

Wee Bobby the bull x comes round the corner with a Roe in it`s maw " it`s no ma dug ", ahh but it is, look see, we can prove it with this newfangled chip thing !

Or gets hit by a car (pay up)

Or chases a sheep (pay up)

or pisses on someones prize roses (pay up)

Or knocks up a KC reg Australian labradoodle ! (pay up)

Feckem, mines are fine without chips thank you .
