archiekale 427
had a another day on the rabbits with ian (pigeonblasterian) the ferrets worked well bolting the large ones and killing a few young ones below ground the edge bottom wasn't too hard to do its sandy ground dug a few but only 3 foot at most walked a edge just before we packed up must have been 50 + sat out looks as though they are all interlinked so rabbits will be bobing in and out when we ferret this we will hit and miss the holes when netting just too many holes you cant even use stop netts will have to be quick on the shotguns as these will be in and out 1 Quote Link to post
jok 3,369
Long nets. Had similar senario and they did the business. Bury was about 100 yds so purse nets were a no starter. 1 Quote Link to post

jok 3,369
My mate Gaz is the baby when it comes to the long nets. What a knack. Best thing about it is that they never, ever, come out with snags. He is meticulous when putting them away. Only way to go. Quote Link to post

jok 3,369
Yes chicken_man. The young lad we have with us now, Jack, has been shown the right way to put purse nets back In the sack. His dad, Wayne, RIP, a gamekeeper. This lad doesn't take a lot of teaching other than the incurable disease of the mobile phone. Ah well, time will tell. Gaz and myself are are fairly patient kind of folks. Quote Link to post
