Gaz_1989 9,539
A £3 bale of straw. Recently connected up armoured cable to my kennel for a heat lamp or tube but went up the kennel early hours this morning (4am) and the dogs were like toast. The straw where they were lying felt like a heat mat. Hot to the touch. Car was frozen solid and kennel roof had a thick white layer of ice on top. Really not sure additional heat is required if kennel and bedding is up to scratch and dogs are dry when put away. 2 Quote Link to post
white van man 3,379
There's decent tube heaters on eBay. You can plug into a timer switch so it just comes on for short bursts or have it on for a few hours. As said though most don't need it. I have insulated the sleeping compartment have a flap on the sleeping entrance and also cover the front of the kennel with a blanket to reduce the stop the cold getting in. You can feel the heat when you open the kennel in the morning. Quote Link to post
