buster gonads 862
I'm looking to buy a new lamp - I have got the Tracer 150 LED rechargeable (built in battery). This lamp is really good but doesn't provide quite enough distance on the bigger fields and it's a bit to week when the red filter is on. What does everyone think? I'm after a greater distance and better performance under the filter Drill a 22mm hole in the centre of the filter, abit like the old clubman filters.Does it work well? I would have liked the lamp to be stronger with the filter on TBH but it works well enough with the hole, it spill,s abit too much light without the filter but i need to use the filter in most of the fields i lamp as they see white lamps too often not to be spooked, the red filter cuts too much light out for my likeing, thats why i put the hole in it. While the lamp is on without the filter, bring your finger tip in from the side you,ll see it start to cover the spot about 10mm from the centre, hence the 22mm hole. If you dont have a drill bit you could warm abit of pipe up on the gas ring and push it through. The hole on the old Clubman filter also happens to be 22mm. 1 Quote Link to post
