Chicken_man 1,651
Hi, One of my dogs has a skin condition which causes him to lick small areas on the legs making them sore. It's called acute acral lick, not sure of the spelling there. Vet prescribed fuciderm cream and washing with hibi scrub. Can anyone recommend any other treatments? Creams? J Darcy! Have you any remedies? Thanks

Chicken_man 1,651
No mate, just happens more in winter. Can turn into a habit also. Clears up and comes back. Vet just said, could be linked to diet also. Diet has been changed to no wheat etc. Ta

Chicken_man 1,651
Defo not boredom for mine either. It's only ever a small patch about size of thumb nail, no more than one patch. I would like to try raw feeding, but supplies are not good in my area. Atb

As in tendon joints etc so is licking at the sore spot then turns that into an open sore ... Normally a change to a fatty diet when the dog is working hard will cure both the above ailments ......
