Shovel shy 4,033
I'd two Russell types. One bull Russell bitch.game out I'd plenty digs over her. Bit of a mixer good finder.I'd her 3 seasons.my dad had a parson dog. Sounder out an out.dug few foxes with him.but in his first full season so I wouldn't breed. He wasn't proven. Lost both within a month for different reasons.plans for future gone. So would I breed from a young dog next time? You bet 2 Quote Link to post

steve t 931
i've bred from young terriers , a couple of times , because now and again you get some shit luck as in both cases lost at work and stolen as with all pups they then get tested , in the real world well in mine if i waited until every terrier i was to bred from had to be 6 or over , i wouldn't of kept the little family going , planning is all well and good but when your planned stud dies at 5 years 11 moths and 29 days where do you go because if his sire is still alive he's now over 12 , a couple of seasons work you know what you got good honest post Glyn 1 Quote Link to post
Apache... 2,588
Bred from young dogs myself in the past when circumstances forced it, I took a chance because I had seen the parents of my young dogs work and was impressed, so went for it and pups turned into good workers. Its the chance you take!! 4 Quote Link to post
