Bigad 136
The other day I posted about howa 1500 in 22-250 with home loads been my option but went and tested horandy 55g vmax at range agains winchester 55g defo likes the horandy over Winchester once I got it on target I did a five shot group at 100m cause that's as far as I can on the range all fit under a 10p so can't wait to give this home loading a go . ???? Like this new gun a lot Quote Link to post

shropshire dan 467
Nice 1 big ad. May I suggest you trying some of the Hornady superformance 50g rounds if you want a little tighter groups. Mine loves the 55g vmax but is a little better with the superformance rounds. slipper 116
Ok mon only reason I asked was because I went to buy 2 boxes on saterday and he said they only come in 53 grain going to try them out the weekend Quote Link to post
shropshire dan 467
Oh right I don't know unless that's only .223? They've been awesome in the guns I've tried them in. Let us know how ya get on buddy Quote Link to post
ianm 2,594
I tried 53grn superformance in my Tikka T3 1 in 12" .223 when i had it. It didn't like them at all, some bullets hit the target sideways. I changed to federal premium 40grn vshock and they where bullet on bullet accurate. Quote Link to post
Tremo 138
My T3 .22-250 didn't like Hornady at all. Not even when went from factory ammo to I reloading using the 52gr A-Max heads. Quote Link to post
Deker 3,478
Nothing wrong with the Howas and nothing wrong with those groups for the vast majority of field work.Have fun with the home brews. 1" or 1 hole at 100 yards with a 22-250 isn't going to make much difference to normal 22-250 quarry! 1 Quote Link to post
charlie caller 3,654
If you can get them, I would try a box of Federal mate, my .243 shoots almost as tight groups with Federal factory stuff, as it does with home rolled, and in my opinion Federal cases are top notch for reloading too 1 Quote Link to post
