Kieransingo 256
Was my first season actually getting to run a dog of my own, been out for years watching people's dogs working ect watching how they work there own runners which has been great so last season I brought myself a bull cross took me a while but was right for me he stands just shy of 26" nice racey type, has done really well for his first season not rushed him only what he wanted to do. Had a few silly slips but who don't lol! I'm still learning so is he hope to have an even better season next one with him. He's not shy to fill the freezer anyway. What's people got running in there first season? Quote Link to post

white van man 3,310
Just put a post up about mine. That's the first season nearly done. Now I'm really going to start looking at how to improve me and my dog for next! Glad you enjoyed your first season with your dog. Nothing better than getting out with your own runner. ATB. When it's just me an him he does though perfect on his own Quote Link to post

When it's just me an him he does though perfect on his own It will be a big ask if there are other dogs there, especially if he has had one stolen from him. I go out with other dogs but if mine catches I walk away from the others a good 20 meters and quietly call him in for a retrieve. That gap has got smaller now and he will pretty much retrieve to where the other dogs are. Quote Link to post
