jok 3,211
This started when W. Katchum (bless him) asked about a poachers box. Well WK you can see some great ideas so what do you want?. I love the idea of cutting off the front corner of a cube and having a Bowback. Size is immaterial. Mind you, we've till September to sort it Devon. Not sure about the slope. Think that would be a bit tricky. Does look smart though.
moxy 617
A version of a single I put together. I put a slope on my boxes so your arm sits comfortably
devon flighter 421
thanks moxy "everything is so obvious with hind sight " they would definitely be easier on the arm with a slope
jok 3,211
Well that's it. Gaz has collected his box and seen my ideas for w Katchum. I think he agreed not a bad idea so am going for it. Should be done middle of the week. I'll put up some pics as I go on.jok.
Gaz_1989 9,539
Yep collected the box today. Cracking bit of kit. Just what I hoped. That middle pocket is really functional, pics below show it holding half a dozen nets, game carrier, mora knife, a couple of mk1 collars, a mk1 box and a pouch of spare batteries. Not bad at all. Thanks again Jok... Plenty of room for my big Hobs...

I don't know if they find some small warrens a tight squeeze or not mate. They might do? No way of knowing really. They bolt plenty of bunnys though.
jok 3,211
I can tell you now that these fellas had to get through a 50mm hole to either get to bed or to dinner. They didn't have no problems. I imagine a rabbit bury doesn' t have any sort of problem simply because a rabbit and a ferret side by side solves the question. Also, I remember digging a Charlie and he managed a burry hole that you could barely get your hand through. Ferrets will get anywhere regardless of size.
Gaz_1989 9,539
Couldn't agree more Jok. They ain't fat, just all fur and big heads. I've got a 4" pipe in their play area and they fly through that. Can't imagine a warren being much tighter than that.
devon flighter 421
so why doesn't everyone just use hobs for working ? it would save the hassle of jills and their seasons ! do they scrap more in the housing ? dont forget your talking to a ferret noob here i only do simple
