J Darcy 5,871
They are all for 'freedom of speach' as long as it is something they agree with. IMO the teacher should be sacked.

JDHUNTING 1,817
For a democratic country this kind censorship should be a serious crime, someone (ukips backers) should follow this up to the end till heads roll

lanesra 3,994
This is why people need to vote "Out" , I'd pull my son out off that school in a heart-beat & make a right song & dance about the lot off them , I wonder if the chief off police in that area apologises to the lad & his family well the head of the Met apologised to the father of a Muslim girl who fled to join Isis . . Only to discover the father was taking the girl to rally's condemning "Our" values & supporting terrorism . . Though I doubt the lad will recieve anything but abuse !!

dare 1,103
School, computers and calling people lol where do I start....my school had a filter on and before I discovered proxies I would put onto my mp3 player before iPods or usb sticks were popular "bbw ebony" fat black women and log in under admin when i set to desktop so everyone saw it. In regards to school calling people I had support teachers n the rest of it try work me out. Found it amusing n told em my dad touched me. Went to go home n was told I wasn't allowed. Home I went to wasn't bread n water like my mum said it'll be when she threatened social services. Had a games room with a pool table n all sorts. My dad didn't even hit me for lying I got grounded but feel worse for it now I'm olderm
pesky1972 5,333
I agree the kid done nothing wrong in looking at the UKIP & EDL websites..., and that both the fcukwit deputy head who reported him to the police, and the copper who spoke told his dad that "we don't think it's right" that his boy looked at the UKIP website, have overstepped the mark and should be disciplined..., particularly the copper. Not sure it's evidence that we have a "pervasive left wing culture" amongst public sector workers though. Some of you get awfully easily excited

Some of you get awfully easily excited Having been a public sector worker in several fields, over the years, I can tell you that teachers, social workers and the like are very left-leaning. The most active political groups among these workers are usually the Labour party and SWP. During it's day, Militant had a large representation among what we used to call council workers, where nearly every union rep belonged to Militant, Socialist Worker or one of the incarnations of the Communist Party, and support was high for groups like the old Anti Nazi League and the Anti Poll Tax campaign. I worked in a London housing office completely infiltrated by Militant, and where their union influence had a real stranglehold. Later, I worked for a housing charity that had big membership of SWP, up to the highest levels. The left's influence may have dwindled a bit since the heyday of "Loony Left council's", but their are certain jobs which seem to attract left-thinkers.......jobs like teacher, social worker, housing officer First hand experience, mate ! charlie caller 3,654
If the kid had been researching UAF or some other left wing violent group, not an eyelid would have been batted, these left wing scum indoctrinating our children, should be treated as the enemy and removed.

Long time now since I was at school but I remember there were one or two teachers that were obviously of a socialist persuasion..., we'd have called them commies back then, and some that were obviously the complete opposite. Most teachers I couldn't have guessed what they were..., or have given less of a fcuk. Have things changed so much that you actually believe there's a pervasive culture brainwashing our kids..., or are you maybe just being a tad melodramatic? Since the miners in the 80's, the demise since of the UK's big industries, and the systematic erosion of workers rights and conditions, the unions are finished in the private sector. The public sector is really the last stronghold that trade unionism has, but it's coincidence more than some conspiracy. And labour voting socialists working in social work, social housing and charities..., who'da thunk it If you feel so strongly about it why don't you start your own school, after all if it's good enough for the mussies.... You'll be head of course, and I'd maybe suggest the following THL members to help get you started... History - Charlie Caller (specialist area the Norman conquests..., gets wound up on pretty much anything and anyone since then) Religious Ed. - Ragamup (not that au fait with Christianity, but will quote from the Koran all day long) English - Maxhardcore (spelling's maybe not a strong point..., but his fiction is second to none) Modern Studies - Jacknife (probably the most balanced political stance on THL with a comprehensive understanding of the world's social, political and economic affairs) French - BGD (must've picked up a bit in Calais by now) Maths - Me (I know that 2 + 2 = 4..., a good many on here don't, so make up an answer that gives them a reason to whinge about someone doing them wrong )
