king 11,971
as it's been the wettest December on record and very mild all winter. Which has stopped a lot of lurcher folk lamping.daytime running. Terrier boys saying not so many to ground. Surely there's more game left to breed for the summer so will there be an lncrease in numbers in various parts of the country come next season. Or will everything just balance out. 1 Quote Link to post
J Darcy 5,871
IMO rabbits and hares will be even less next season. Foxes will be the same and deer will be on the up. 5 Quote Link to post

MickyB 327
had good and bad days (probs more bad days lol) this season, met a few good lads this season which is a bonus, picked up a young one mooching the other day, probably one last lamping trip to my last spot tonight and the lamp will be off for the spring/summer, seen rabbits where I haven't ever before this season though locally, numbers are never massive though but Im hoping they have a good summer and the lads that dont like cold leave them alone while I'm driving around trying to get new permission. Chaff 3,571
Not too bad this season a guess of around 300 a few mid weekers but mainly once a week, last year same land we had about a dozen.so went elsewhere.was chatting yesterday about empty burys and increase in buzzards being seen, could it be they are taking carcasses left by mixi maybe. IMO we will always have rabbits, they are real survivors Those that have had a bad one this year, may well be singing a different tune this time next year Let's hope so atb Quote Link to post
paulsmithy83 567
the amount of water on the fields surely has got to impact rabbits but hares seem to be in big numbers for me on my perms and deer are spreading like wild fire. cant wait for my day pup to come through been really limited since lossed my day bitch. NEWSBOY 306
A bad season to me is when you have a dog knocked up for months, or killed, nothing to do with numbers, some critters are going down, others up, make the most of whats there. 1 Quote Link to post
