He's a guard dog, rehomed from someone who couldn't handle him but for the purpose of protection. I live in the middle of nowhere with a considerable amount of valuable property. They were bred to guard sheep in Russia, originally an LSG breed similar to Anatolians, Pyrenean Mountain Dogs, Komondors etc etc. They then progressed into guarding Russian prisons and were seen on the documentary Russia's toughest prisons. He was brought by someone who had no dog experience whatsoever and came to live with me at 15 weeks.
