Greyhounds Whippets and Saluki's are the one and only true starting blocks for runningdogs, certainly in Britian.

There is a litter for sale in Ontario. I talk to the lady and think they are more of a pet than a fearless hunter. Any way they were cheap. PM and I will send her number to you.

I dont think anyone is using straight Deerhounds any more, maybe I'm wrong, Deerhound crosses yes

Maybe there is poaching in Poland with more or less "native" hounds...but if you want to see similar hounds chortjaj/saluki type working, the Ukriane and Moldavia would be better choices...

I know that Khortaia is considered the same breed in Ukraine and in Russia and they probably are. One time I was looking for a Chart Polski puppy for hunting and tried to find a breeder in Poland. I only discovered that hunting with a sighthound was outlawed in Poland. Now, I am with Saluki (Tazi) imported from Kazakhstan, but I still feel sad that such a good looking breed of Poland cannot be used for hunting in their own country.
