If i was you try and get planning on it now , they seem to be passing most land for building ( I run my own building company)
The Seeker 3,048
What about growing and selling Christmas trees? Take around 6 years for the first batch to be ready then just keep replanting

Bo Duke 420
If it was me I'd put a post on The Hunting Life and see what ideas the good members of the site come up with. Build a Sports Direct and sell secondhand Subaru's then offer lamping weekends in July that should cater for most the lads on here

Waz 4,274
Woodland is a nice asset to have, just having a wander around it looking at tracks & just observing nature is a better reward than money, add to that taking a bit of game or thinning out a few undesireable pests and some foraging.. bliss. Wilf, id have a look now for any spots that seem to hold water now and maybe get a pond dug out. If theirs boar in the vicinity they do love a wet spot. Any quiter spots drop a few trees but leave them kind of hinged at waist height or so and let the brambles take over. & get a trailcam Is it near a road or decent track? Im after buying an adjoining field of 6 acres, and fingers crossed as soon as its mine, I will look into turning it into a mixed plantation.
