What's The Best Air Rifle For Kids

Recommended Posts

My first gun was a BSA Meteor, great little gun, do they still make them?

Same as me and yes they still make them http://www.drapers-airguns.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=407_470_479_481&products_id=4160

I reckon the HW99 in .22 is a good rifle for a little lad to start with. He'll grow with it too. There's a whole lifetime of shooting from plinking tins, to targets. to serious hunting with that little rifle and its performance is not to be sneered at.

Better built and, being a Weihrauch, better accuracy than the Gamo-built BSA Meteor of today

If just target shooting then any of the above

but if your going to take him hunting then there is only one in my eyes the

ULTRA SE MULTI shot

and don't let the size of it fool you its a little rifle with a hell of a lot of hitting power

I agree with you , but every youngster should learn to shoot a springier first in fact ,not just youngsters any body new to shooting

No disrespect

But why teach a you lad the ways or a springer , when most likely he'll end up with a pcp anyway

Only saying like

If you can shoot a springer then a PCP is so easy.............try the lad on a cheap SMK for a start..if he likes it upgrade him to a Weihrauch 99
