mattwhite 1,993
Well after a lot of pi#@ing around with other pellet weights and shapes the wind dropped enough for me to get a target set out at at my zeroed distance of 27 yards with old faithfuls....jsb exact 4.52 8.44grn and with a slight breeze managed a few nice groups. Even what i was considering as flyers were still well under a 5p so im going to stick now with these. Apologies again for the crude targets lads! 5 Quote Link to post

The one 8,504
nice going mate I think they all would be in the kill zone 1 Quote Link to post
villaman 9,983
You would be better of zeroing in at 35 yards . What might be good at 27 yard ,may be not good at 35,40,45,50+ yards 3 Quote Link to post
mark williams 7,561
Hi Matt, If it helps any, i always zero .177 to 38 yards. That zero pretty much keeps your pellet within a one inch flight path ( kill zone of 1") from 9.7 yards out to 38 yds.( no hold under or hold over required) atb 1 Quote Link to post

steg 609
My 100's not liking that same pellet in 4.53..looking like she gonna be a 4.51 sort of girl. Early days yet though.. Atb steg Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
27 yards is way short to be zeroed, you should be looking at 33 yards approx to get the best point blank zero range.... Quote Link to post
mattwhite 1,993
I hear what people are saying about the 33 38 yard etc but ive found that at 12 x magnification..a 27yrd zero gives me a 1 inch kill zone out to 35 then 1 mildot holdover at 40, 1 1/2 @ 45 and 2 mildot at 50 which is usualy the max i hunt at. Very rarely do i get opportunity to stalk closer than 25 as its very open on my perms but i guess its whatever setup you have and what your most confident with that feels the best. Quote Link to post
