leethedog 3,071
Right I may well be opening my self up for abuse here but I'm thick skinned . As most of you are awere I have a young black dog of around 17 months he started out real well he has bolted 2 and been dug twice and taken a little not a lot mind. Over the last couple of times I've had him out he seems to be a little how can I put it indesisive and doesn't seem to find what and how could this be gotten around or over come. I was thinking of just stopping taking him out till next year now Quote Link to post

rob284 1,682
Seasons over anyway. Leave him for now and his second season should let you know how he is. 2 Quote Link to post
neil cooney 10,416
Time to quit for now. If he fecks up you'll spend the Summer looking at him in a different light. Anyways, there's a chance you'll bump into cubs and pups and a vixen with cubs don't often mix and even if the vixen bolted cubs can bamboozle a pup. 4 Quote Link to post

Mary 352
Good that you are concerned enough to get him checked over but cuts and scrapes should be easy enough to sort out yourself, also season is over, most have hit Cubs or bitches ready to drop, time to wrap it up and dust off the fishing rod, paddys day not far off. 6 Quote Link to post
big yin 3
What size of earths was it he didn't find in ? Did you then dig it with a different dog ? and as been said treat him as the young dog he is through the summer and get him full of himself Quote Link to post
BlackDog1 134
Let the dog enjoy the summer and time off. Let him be lazy and get fat and then start fresh next year. Hopefully it will get back on track then Quote Link to post
