Voicing In A Flush/rouse Dog

Do you's like ya dogs to make a racket when there on a scent? I like mine to bark when the scents hot or there close to the quarry to draw the running/catch dogs in. I'm in Australia so just seeing how different things are done.

Barking doesnt suit the land i mooch its well hunted as soon as they hear dogs the rabbits head straight to ground

Personally I like my busher to give tongue when she finds - I'm deaf as a post so it helps me know what's going on. Sometimes she does, sometimes she doesn't; haven't managed to figure out a pattern to it yet, so I think it could just be completely random!

Bitch I got now a Lakeland x Russell she is dead quiet on the scent until she see the quarry then gives tongue and if she loses the quarry she goes silent again I like it like this because I know when she is behind something

My spaniel/whippet bitch is pretty quiet, just makes the right amount of noise at the right times for me. I can read her body language easy, she only really opens up close to a rabbit in cover, or if she see's one, a few yips and she runs them silent in the open, surprised tbh, because she only catches an odd one?

That something i have noticed about my one she doesn't always open up now, it tends to be on the shorter hunts that she is silent.

i love it when the bushers start kicking off mine yip and yap when on hot scent soon as something is sighted though feck me all hell breaks loose gets the old ticker going,couple days ago a munty bolted straight at me if i wasnt on the ball reckon id have been leveled flat i really should stand back a bit at times lol
