Yokel Matt 918
Thanks again! The wife wants to put an honesty box on it to sell our. excess hens eggs but I'm nervous some scroat will drop them down into it. You can bet there's one asshole out there who would think something like that would be funny!

terryd 8,688
Well bloody hell that is pretty dam amazing fair play. Must been pretty hairy having them buckets going back up and claustrophobic down there. It looks amazing and if the old fella made it to 97 there must have been some good about that water

Must been pretty hairy having them buckets going back up and claustrophobic down there. It looks amazing and if the old fella made it to 97 there must have been some good about that water It was mate - it was worse when we were doing it off the ladder as the bucket was being pulled up by hand and was swaying about and clipping the sides which made it tip a bit - if you had it too full bits would call out. Nothing like half a brick from 20 meters to focus your mind! The tipper bucket took about 40-50 kg - more than a few times the winch spool bunched up and it was left dangling above me - not cool. Good point about there being something in the water... I'll need all the help I can get if I'm going to get to that age!... No more well digging for a start!

Malt 379
Best thread I've read for a good while, fair play! Seems almost poetic with the news about the old boy at the end. Not to take anything away from sadness of his passing, but giving him the opportunity to lord it over his neighbours for the last time at the grand old age of 97 is f**king awesome!
