Yes, it is a 4 inch jaw gin trap, made by W&G Sidebotham's in Wednesfield circa 1940. They stamped a multitude of retailer's names and numbers on them, I cant quite make out the name on the brass tongue on that one in your pic though, or I would tell you about that too ...
