wezza 396
My block I finished last year. After trying concrete and epoxy resin I open for a tiled floor and it's been the best decision I made. So easy to clean no more scrubbing concrete etc, a drop of Bleach in a bucket of water once a day and quick go with the squeegee and jobs a good one. We are starting my brothers block in the summer and will be doing similar, would be good to see some of your set ups for inspiration, Atb wez 19 Quote Link to post

wezza 396
The end kennel is for the lurchers mate so quite big. The other two are for the terriers and aren't that big to be honest. I've insulated them and ply lined so not that big inside. My brothers currently got a wooden set up and the looking at it you wouldn't think it was a year old. It's f****d by the weather and the pups chewing etc.. he's going to go with blocks and galvanised panels but would be intrested to see what every one else has, hopefully we build his this one time and it lasts him a good few years 1 Quote Link to post
navman 126
Have to agree about the tiled floor, I've used tiles on mine, none of that piss smell in the concrete, set up looks fab, hope your lurcher isn't into escaping as it looks possible onto sleeping area and over ? Only problem I encountered with unlined brick walls was tail damage which was forever occurring with the abrasive surface, soon eliminated with a lineing added, looks safe and secure set up easily done and transferable if needed? Yes I 100% agree mate tiles are definitely a lot easier.Inside they are all kingspanned and the beds are off the floor so haven't had any tail damage yet. Your right about that mate the lurcher can jump over, although rare he has done so. They have access to a large secure run area via a pop hole so if they fancy a mooch they generally just go out there. Quote Link to post

wezza 396
I was thinking about tiling the walls.. opted to paint it with exterior masonry paint, seems to be working ok, I can hose it all down and comes up good. I will give it another coat of paint once a year as well. 1 Quote Link to post
