Compo21 27
Sorry shotgun. Have been looking at the browning maxus or Winchester sxp Quote Link to post
mad4it 694
either of them i personaly like the winchester sxp Quote Link to post
walshie 2,804
The Winchester SXP is a pump action not a semi-auto. You probably mean the SX3. Some Bertttas and Benellis fall into your price range too. Quote Link to post
Compo21 27
That's the one SX3! Cheers for the advice I'll have a look round all the local gunshops and shop around Quote Link to post

SportingShooter 0
I do like the SX3, I have one. But I also like the Browning A5 or Maxus. Classic guns. Quote Link to post
Rowan 308
I've just got a Benelli M2 , it's more than you price bracket , but if you can find the extra its well worth it.. 1 Quote Link to post

My questions is what would you guys go for ? Semis can be a bit marmite, I love my 391 and would use it for everything given the chance (I hate the cleaning of the gas system) but others can't get hold of semis, especially if they have a history of SBS/OU whatever. I know you said new, but to be honest if its your first semi I'd get something second hand that feels comfortable, probably under budget. You will learn a lot from it and if Semis are the way forward for you, then trade it, by then you will then know yourself exactly what you want in your next! Quote Link to post
Compo21 27
Cheers for the advice I have a O/U 12 bore and have been shooting couple of seasons now, I have also shot a semi auto plenty of times it was a hatsan escort its comfortable enough to shoot and have had success with it on the pigeons, However the amount of times my friend has had it jam up on him makes me want to get a better quality of gun 1 Quote Link to post
