I'm buying my first semi auto for my birthday next month looking at spending around £800-£900

Would prefer to buy new so I get the guarantees and warranties with buying new.

My questions is what would you guys go for ?

Semis can be a bit marmite, I love my 391 and would use it for everything given the chance (I hate the cleaning of the gas system) but others can't get hold of semis, especially if they have a history of SBS/OU whatever.

I know you said new, but to be honest if its your first semi I'd get something second hand that feels comfortable, probably under budget. You will learn a lot from it and if Semis are the way forward for you, then trade it, by then you will then know yourself exactly what you want in your next!

I have also shot a semi auto plenty of times it was a hatsan escort its comfortable enough to shoot and have had success with it on the pigeons,

However the amount of times my friend has had it jam up on him makes me want to get a better quality of gun
