Nicepix 5,650
I think they where pulling your leg I know the farmer well and he believe it works. There's going to be alot more farmers trying this, there was an article in the farmer guardian. The article in the Farmer's Guardian refers to one old timer by the name of Bernard Pratt who wrote in claiming that he now doesn't trap moles but uses marshmallows. Not exactly overwhelming evidence. The farmers are pulling your plonker https://www.fginsight.com/news/marshmallows-radios-and-other-ways-to-eradicate-moles-9245 1 Quote Link to post

DIDO.1 22,661
Iv heard the same from 3 farms. Only one tried it and he reckons he's got rid of some moles. I'm not saying I believe the latest stories as all pest controllers hear stories like that on a daily basis but I'll try it this week and report back Quote Link to post

Frontbum 76
You have to set the Marshy really fine and always use gloves, and never place your Marshy facing east the moles just don't like it. 1 Quote Link to post

comanche 2,957
I think someone has come across some research by Dr Lanzador De Meadas from the early 60s. Most of his work was conducted in Ireland and was thus inconclusive despite field sketches such as this that he claims prove the efficiency of what he termed his "Walnut Whip Cone Traps". Apparently the walnut was added after a local persuaded De Meadas that moles all suffered genetic nut-allergy. Some of his other work involved the Italian fishing industry. By treating live eels with Viagra he suggested they could be more economically transported to distant markets neatly stacked in boxes of damp moss than if they were kept in bulky aerated tanks. neil cooney 10,416
It's a well known fact that the reason there's no snakes in Ireland is because St Patrick ran them all out, but few people know the St Patrick also created the marshmallow, hence the reason Ireland has no moles. 1 Quote Link to post
Nicepix 5,650
I'm surprised that one of the pro's on here hasn't called for this thread to be locked or even deleted. Giving all this vital information out on a public forum isn't good for their business. 3 Quote Link to post
