king 11,984
I've read that dai's and the other led lamps are not very good with a red filter on.i remember back in the day if a break light on the car smashed lads would paint the bulb with red nail varnish. I wonder if it would work with an led lamp easy to adjust the amount of red varnish and easy to remove with varnish remover. Cheers king. Quote Link to post

Bosun11 537
Thing is for me, after using a filter for as long as i can remember, using white constant, all night, just seems far too..'loud'! All i want a filter for is general flicking on of the beam, wire, ditches, gaps in hedges etc. All of which i'd normally do, if i do need a light, with either the filter, the dimmer or both. The lamp i got off Dai is a cracking piece of kit by the way. Quote Link to post

nighteyes 275
Same as, all the lamping I've ever done has always been with filters ,I think one of these with a option of red and white led would be perfect , Quote Link to post
Northern Rock 512
Try a piece of photographic red filter, not as thick as the plastic ones so less light reduction. If it works you could cut out the plastic, trim a piece of photo filter to fit and away you go. 1 Quote Link to post
