If this is a cross section of so called hunt support then god help you .This man is protecting his lively hood whether hounds were intentionally attacking or just being a nuisance .Most of us here rely on farmers for our hunting,we kill foxes to protect lambs but feel hard done by when a farmer protects his sheep from a perceived threat .Hypocrites the lot of you .Seen enough rioting of hounds all over the Ilse to know things do go pear shaped when not in check and seen the aftermath of prem births left behind .Don't try and cover up what is undoubtedly a case of riot .

ive never seen hounds riot on sheep for a start , the seasoned hounds should be bullet proof and secondly on the moor as much as pups been walked properly seen sheep all the time , only take , half -couple out at a time , the only thing a first season hound may riot on is deer , as there not obviously broken too them , on the moor you cant be right on top of them at times for rioting on deer but the pups should be sound too sheep , a lot of hunts have sheep in the puppy pen when there back from walk . no hound should be out unless 100 % too stock and that is done before first season , apologies fox dropper for calling you a cock lol

No first season hounds or second season hounds you can put up life on with sheep in my opinion it would take a very dull huntsman to think that they are safe . ItTakes many situations to make them sound and without them being in situations they will never be sound and a sheep in a pen at kennels would be nothing in comparison like a little scabby single sheep running down a hillside on very windy day . Or a sheep full of maggots running from a rush bed a good huntsman will be on top of his young hounds in those situations . Sorry whippet man I disagree with your comments totaly

how the hell can a whip or huntman be right ontop the hounds whilst hunting , jesus man when they go there gone , split whatever , there not lurchers , they don't go for anything wooley ,..............there is a distinctive smell and there brought up too avoid ,.......hounds aren't safe , theres rock / cliff faces and the chances of rioting deer . caught up on fences , injury etc etc ....... im sorry mate it don't happen around here , maybe its diferent over in wales

young hounds are more likely to riot when drawing cover so the huntsman and whips should be there and see the signs before it happens that's the difference between good huntsman and bad a good one never assumes their stock proof when hounds are hunting pups would be more concerned about keeping up with older hounds on a hunt. whippet things might be different with you yes in some parts of wales we have a lot of rush beds and furny banks with single sheep in them springing out of them which young hounds early on in season can't resist temptation that's why they should be put in them situations as pups .when English packs come to Wales to hunt the Welsh hill land they often have trouble simply because they not used to smaller hill sheep in different situations . They would always be used to sheep bunching in the corner of a green field soon as they enter it.
