Gobbling off........kind of bars are you working the door at?..?

I had a proper job years ago, hated it ! Then when I worked for myself you just had to work when the earner presented itself, this has involved cancelling holidays 2 days before you are due to fly, w

During the Autumn/Winter months,.into the early Spring,..I trap moles and honour a few contracts, to control rabbits/squirrels, etc... When the weather starts to warm up,..I go on the Wasps....   B

Just started back scaffolding, can't say I'm looking forward to the upcoming 12 hour shifts 12 on 2 off. Be a great money earner but money isn't everything.

At least you know where you are with 12 on 2 off fella. Can plan stuff around them 2 days off etc.
With that job it will be sleeping....

You can sleep when you're dead.

Electrician for nearly 7 years 5 days a week 8-4 full sick pay 28 holidays a year plus all bank holidays plenty time for the dogs but by f**k I hate it would happy take a job something else

Stick with it fella. I packed in a salaried Mon-Fri 9-5 job in 2 years ago. 28 holidays, bank holidays, full sick pay, company car. The job was boring and I wanted a change. But I should of stuck with it. Work 7 days a week now, no holidays and no sick pay. And no company car. Lol. Grass isn't always greener.

12 hour shifts scaffolding is that allowed with todays safety obsessed working conditions..........i spent a few months doing that as a teenager it nearly broke my back bollocks to 12 hour shifts of it.

I'm a rat man best job in the world

I've seen most things

From naturists to a collector of bottled piss

I've dragged stuff out from under beds that was thicker than a 2 ltr flask

Great job

Wouldn't swap it for anything

Anything is legal when it suits, its not house bashing as well its working on the power lines for National Grid which is way harder.

That's my short gym career down the shitter cos there's no way on earth anyone would be going to the gym after 12 hours flat out work hahaha.

The biggest question is what's more important happiness in work or the money.... At the minute its money for me.

For me it flits between the 2 . If everything is alright at home and I'm happy at work the money doesn't bother me . When it's shit I think of some of my mates in big money and stupid hours and think I'd rather that . Although j think if I was on big money with a shitty job it would wear me down mentally and id be no company for myself or family and in the end would regret the wasted time being wound up
