Don't forget a lot of Sinn Fein are anti hunting, the leader of dcal up here is Sinn Fein, and they were approached to see if they could help fund a game fair type event and she said she's against hunting and any blood sports, as it's cruel, now this is from a woman who has been jailed under terrorism act for transporting bombs to kill and maim up here in the north. 2 faced fcuker, I think Martin maguiness is a fisherman, but don't know how he feels about hunting, so the point I'm making Sinn Fein is run by murderers / freedom fighters how ever ya see it, but they killed more of their own, and still to this day bodies are still not recovered, and they think hunting is cruel?????, Green Party the great unwashed, alliance Sinn Fein puppets, all anti hunt anti field sports. Haven't read all of it but if it's a vote for a party that's not against hunting then from what I read it seems fianna gael and fianna fail are the choice not much of a choice but that's what its lookin like. Shur were already ready in the shit evonomically anyway so we're used to that at least our hunting is still legal so it's vote one of these 2 keep our hunting legal and stay in the shit I can live with lol.

At the end of the day most of us hate politics, myself included, it's the same old bullshit either way.

But, they work for us, not the other way around, so it's no harm to let them know that if they are pro or anti hunting it makes a big part in your decision.

If they hear enough of that they'll start to think about their stance on fieldsports.

If you read through that list of politicians you'll see some of them admit that they know nothing of hunting but it SOUNDS like it should be banned.

One of the pro politicians in that list is local to me. She's photographed with a hunt. I was there that day.

She said she supported stag hunting. It was a foxhound pack. But as hunting is massive around here she knew what hymn sheet to sing from.

The reason any of those who oppose hunting are anti is because the anti's have told them the big lie that 60 % or 70% or whatever of the population are anti hunting and that's the sort of statistic that the gullible politicians believe. Votes count. And lets face it some of the most vociferous on the subject are inner city politicians who's constituencies have drug and crime problems. The anti's send them as e-mail. They reply they're anti and that's another inner city TD who's against something they know nothing about.

The politicians who are PRO hunting you'll usually find have been hunting and know the truth.

Have your facts and if you meet them tell them they wont be getting your vote as you enjoy hunting.

The more the merrier and it will stand to us in the future, BUT, make sure you have your facts.

For what it's worth I'd know a few shinners very well and they would do a fair bit of hunting themselves, shooting, ferreting, digging you name it, they enjoy a good day out as much as the next man but for various reasons I won't be voting for them and I told them that. I'll not be voting at all. I'll have to run it by them about the party's views in the North as well as the rest when the knock at the door comes, watch them squirm lol.

She only lives about 20min away from me,and only last year in a local pub in my town there was a fundraiser for a local dog shelter.This pub laid on tea and sandwiches free of charge for the attendance that was there.This pub is also steeped in history for hunting and certain other lets say country activities and there were some stuffed animals,birds,chickens dotted about the place and all she did was complain about the poor animals and birds and how they must have died a terrible death,some of these were up on 100 year old,you Neil actually ended up with 1 some years back.

He was here with me today, I went to him the time they tried to pass the bill banning terriers to ground. He spent a lot of time listening and voiced his opinion on the matter at a higher level.
