ferreting mooching was fine untill about 6 years old started to false mark lamping was just embarrassing would chase wouldn't chase stalk up to them if they ran he would about turn and come back to me never have another

saw a bitch run at end of last season collie x saluki whippet greyhound run after run relentless but as we now in breeding everything is a gamble

Collie lurchers, are amongst the most varied of all the various lurcher hybrids...

When they are good,...they are very,very good,.but when they are bad,..by feck,... they are bad..

 

Personaly,..I like to keep mine for the bushing/hedgerow/ferreting game,..they seem to take to this job well

Nothing wrong with Collie in a lurcher imo, most of the ones I have seen have been game for most quarry to. My oldman use to keep a lot of collie crosses and he swore by them, i always say usually people who don't like collie crosses have less brain than the collie lurcher hence the hatred lol, but on a serious note they defo like marmite.

Does help if you know the background of the parents the one I had was extremely fit out 4 to 5 times a week but just turned scatty but these 2 were different but never had as much collie as the we bitch

the bitch goes right back i no her breeding but to me means nothing most of the time they could not tell whats in the breeding just put a names up then they lie
