There is looking fit and being fit. Not taking out away from some cracking looking dogs. Some of them ripped looking dogs might put in hard shift and have nowt in reserve. You don't see many lamping dogs that do big bags night in night out looking like that.Have a look at a real fit fell hound ye looks fit but not ripped as clean as a bull x. Working hard for a prolonged period and not peaking for a short term event any animal needs a bit in reserve. Just look at some of the old time pit dogs. Chain weight n match weight. In most case's the weights being quite different. On the bright side all of the macho bullx owners will be proud as punch when they are strutting round the up n coming summer shows with their ripped pooches doing there bit for hunting n lurcher promotion. atb.

True words indeed. My bull x, that is on this thread, is out 3 hours min a day mouching. But when required to do a long night on the lamp, he will burn out very quickly. When I require more prolonged work from him, he is best off running a few pound heavier to keep that tank topped up.

My collie x is light framed and rough haired if he goes in river there's nothing of him but is really cut, but not to the point of being vascular like most bull xs. He's fit as a fiddle and will just keep plodding on. My old bitch didn't have bull in her but I could get her looking like hulk but wasn't easy to just obtain, I played with her weights whilst working her. She worked better lighter and not so showy, but she never really had any stamina, not compared to the runt I'm feeding now anyway,
